The new parking facility at Schwyz Hospital was designed with two key priorities: maximum flexibility and optimal space utilisation. At the same time, the structure needed to meet stringent corrosion protection requirements (C4).
The solution: An innovative slim-floor system from Peikko, featuring DELTABEAM® Composite Beams combined with hollow-core slabs across three split levels. This approach enabled impressive spans with slab thicknesses of 450 mm (span 16.10 m) and 320 mm (span approx. 12 m).
Each half-level requires only two columns positioned beside the ramps, which were constructed in cast-in-situ concrete. The parking areas themselves are completely column-free, ensuring maximum usability and excellent visibility for all users.
