Operations Director

The position is based in Lahti, Finland. The role requires regular on-site presence in Lahti, with limited flexibility for remote work (approximately one day per week). You will report to the Managing Director of Peikko Finland and be a member of the company’s management team.

Your role

As Operations Director, you will have six direct reports and lead a total team of about 170 people across different operational functions.

You will be responsible for the daily running of operations as well as developing them further. This includes improving efficiency, building a strong safety culture, and preparing for future investments and changes in our production setup.

You will work closely with the Peikko Finland management team and cooperate regularly with the Peikko Group Operations organization.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for someone who is experienced in leading operations and comfortable working both on the shop floor and in management meetings. You know how to get results, support your team, and drive improvements.

We expect you to have:

• Solid experience in leading production operations – preferably in mechanical or manufacturing industry
• Good leadership skills and experience in developing people and teams
• A proactive, practical approach and confidence in decision-making
• Familiarity with modern systems and data-based operations management
• Experience in improving operational processes, ways of working and safety practices
• Good communication skills in Finnish and English
• Experience in working with international stakeholders and in group-level cooperation
